I like it, Rodger. More than most resto projects here, this one truly IS a labor of love. Looking forward to seeing the finished project. (By the way, you're not wasting any time on this one!)

was going to take off the swing arm, but sure enough BOTH my circlip pliers are in Oklahoma. It really is nice not driving 4.5 hours every weekend to go home, and have my projects in the same place I am

LOL. I hate when I have to go get something out of my toolbox at work and that's all of 10 minutes away.

yeah, basically I only had Saturdays... the 4.5 hours was one way, so I spent one whole day a week driving

Can't remember the last time I paid .60/gal for gas, but hey....I can't remember what I had for lunch today either. Takes patience to keep a nice journal like that.

several more things were powder coated. I used Eastwood's radiator paint on the radiator. no work this weekend as I am headed to Ohio BTW how long was this dirt in the headlight bucket??? In some ways the journal was easy, you just make an entry every time you get gas, change a tire etc.... okay... I have OCD WOW too much flash on the pictures!

I was thinking once I put them back on, time to scrub, scrub, scrub. Don't want water near it with the exposed jugs! Then the whole thing gets painted. Bought eastwood's engine paint which has a catalyst.

while it has been a couple of weeks since I last posted, I have been working o the bike. currently the heads are back on. I do not have a local Honda shop, so currently waiting for some mail order parts to put the transmission cover back on. I am sure in some unpacked box is the O-rings I need. Then I will take to scrubbing the engine. I found my extra sub-frames and they are in good shape (and got a de-rust soaking).

I'm pretty sure there is a Honda motorsports dealer in Roanoke. Can't be all that far from you.
