I have a short left you can have. It's not the best specimen. Scratches on the radius and dents on the bottom. No rust. If you can't find a really nice one, this one would cover you until you do.
Lemme know. (I have pics. PM if you're interested).

so Saturday decided to try starting the bike. Turn the key.... no head light and nothing, nada, when I push the starter. Also the neutral light is on and it is not in neutral (but that is another story).... did I mention I hate electrical gremilins. So I pull the false tank frame and start going through all the wiring. Seems I have two black wires coming from the starter switch. One is black, the other black with a brown band. I switch them and light is on and starter works. However, I am not able to get the bike into neutral (darn light is on) I try several times and then only a click at the relay. My hunch is a poor ground as I tried jumping the relay and still nothing.
And, having to find a way to shift the gears as it will not budge.
some PO must have added the chrome trim.... so I just assumed it was an Ltd perk

Nope, seems like one of the few places they didn't put chrome on the LTD.

being used to the look from my 78, I think they look a lot nicer than bare. Although, most of the "used" ones on fleabay have been scuffed pretty bad

hoped it might just be the gasket for the transmission cover making it not shift. I took the transmission cover off and still it will not budge. My next thought is wondering if it could be when I changed out the neutral switch. We move next weekend so it may be a while before I can get to that

well.... two years ago when I last posted.
Took out the neutral switch and put it in neutral. back in and then it shifted. Tried to start it up, but turn, turn, turn (ala Pete Seeger) but nothing...
THEN we moved to Virginia...
This weekend thought I would try to start it again. Filled with oil.... filled the radiator and DARN pinched the O-ring at the bottom fitting. Fortunately FOUND an O-ring and fixed that.
Gas into the tank and gas leaking all around the petcock. Tried tightening the screws.... helped some. Thought maybe it was the hose.... NOPE. Drained out enough fuel to slow everything and found petcock O-ring set (Randakk) and switched those out and NO LEAK. Now I know why it would not start two years ago. I was sucking air at the petcock.
Turn, turn, turn and VROOM. It's alive.... it's alive... it's alive. Weather was crappy, so I did not ride it anywhere (and out of date out of state plates... but it runs.
Temp gauge is not registering so I will need to chase that down.

it is a really fun bike to ride. Much sportier than my road king or the 78. I need to get the little faring back on to make it more comfortable at highway speeds. It should be really fun up on the blue ridge
