Weicome to the pinched gasket club. If you don't want to wait, that conection on top of the head is one of the only safe places to use silicone, just go easy.

I have never had a brain fart. I have never bounced a check. It never gets cold in Arizona. And the fuel leak when I first powered up the new Weber setup was not due to the outlet line from the fuel pump NOT BEING ATTACHED...

Nice to see this revered piece of NGW history get an infusion of new life.

since I am down in Texas during the week (and needed a new O-ring) I just went into the local dealer... hopefully they will have them before I drive home for the weekend. I am so looking forward to living in one place

I commute between Sherman and Claremore. However, end of April I start a job in Blacksburg VA and we will relocate in one place

Several years ago I was sitting in a restaurant ...Egg something...in Claremore having breakfast and this beautiful blue GL1000 pulled in. Might have been you!

Parts ordered

These are the little details that give us new guys the push to just go ahead and replace the easy things while the bike is apart. It saves us tons of work over the course of a rehab. So I took off the crossover and found a pinched O-ring...

could have been. although about 10 years ago I saw a OEM blue 1000 for sale in Claremore

in between packing etc.... things have been slow. When I put on the passenger pegs I notice the chrome ends were in bad shape, and of course, no longer made by Honda.... however.... scored two NOS on fleabay!

that was the worst of the two, the other just had some pitting. There have been a few other things I simple took to the buffing wheel to lessen the pitting and shine up the chrome. The bad one in the picture the only other option would have been to de-rust and paint or powder
