now to clean up the engine.... I stuffed paper towel parts into the crevasses then let it soak with lacquer thinner. As it turned out, I bent one of the coolant tubes rolling the engine over.... thankfully there is fleabay

Clever idea with the paper towels. I am overloaded with cooling tubes. PM me with what you need and how to get it to you.

now to paint the frame.... but I noticed the speedos looked lousy

Honda does not make the speedo rubbers for the GL1000, but they still do for the 1980 GL1100... same part!
After painting the black, I put the chrome up to a buffing wheel and "shine on, shine on harvest moon..."

you tend to forget how much you adapt. I hold tools (and a pen) much differently, the mobility is about 75% and my grip strength sucks, but it doesn't hurt... it sure looks a lot beer than when I looked down and it was lying across the palm of my hand

skipped a weekend as I went to Laredo to learn how to do colposcopy.... Last weekend back to work.... oh yeah, broke a bolt removing all the water tubing (you are only one broken bolt away from....).... went to the store for an easy out.... really stupid name as it did not come out, and it wasn't easy! Drilled it our for a time-sert.... except drilling into a bolt in aluminum... mucks up the opening a bit.... got the time-sert in.... back to the store for metal epoxy to "clean up around the top of the time-sert...

three hours gone for a 20 minute job.... are we having fun yet?
