Carbs out of sync will definitely cause a "knock" of sorts, especially at low rpms. Bike looks good and will run smoother and maybe a bit better with a sync.
Bikes at present:

83 XL 600r with a 2004 XR650L engine
And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair
83 GL in process :IDTS:

Hmmm, maybe this is my problem as well.

Knocking is non constant. Sometimes it's there, sometimes its not. I need a carb sync...yesterday.

Some pictures because i like them!
What kind of handel bars do have, are they stock? My clubmans are getting uncomfortable and they limit my turning radius. Mine shure look cool but I'm getting tired of them and would like something more like yours.
1978 gl1000 Not Nice bike.

Well I've shown by bike to a carb guru, who happened to own a GL1100 in the past and he told me that my Goldwing sounds like...a goldwing. The engine knocking was almost not hearable that day. Another mechanics listen to it and basically told me to stop trying to put money in the bike and just ride it. lol

This is what I bought.
Emgo Street Handlebar - Universal Street Bend - Black - 23-92411
They were super cheap, like around 25$ CAN.

At first, I bought these, which were cool, but the controls hit the tank.
Emgo Street Handlebar - Drag Bend - Black - 23-12570
I might use them on my next project.

The one I got right now are perfect to me. I lean just a bit over the tank, which is what I was going for, and clear the tank.
The Grip are Biltwell.

I took the Monster for my longest ride so far this year.
215 km in the valleys of the Appalachians.

I loved it. It seems it's working better and better as I ride it.
The knocking that was very present at the start of the season is now gone.

I wonder if it has something to do with the fuel treatment I'm using...In any case, I won't stop using it!
It does claim it will help with engine knocking. At about 0.75$ per tank, it's cheap protection!

That is good news. Probably was just a stiff chain because of sitting for so long.

It looks like Sinto is hard to find in the U.S.
If there is one thing I have learned throughout this process it is this: Check your respirator for spiders before you put it on.
