G'day to All :-D

The "Motorised workbench" was realised by "Dirt Road Cowboy" a few posts back, so I have been calling it that since

Stripped all the fittings out of my grandsons bedroom yesterday (as promised) that left me some time to do some winging dancr

She is up on the main workbench now. Oops! I meant the Motorised Workbench. With a bit of luck I can do some more on her today.

Happy and Safe riding to All.

Regards, Peter.

I think those are my glasses on the table. I was just looking for them the other day. Can you return them?
If there is one thing I have learned throughout this process it is this: Check your respirator for spiders before you put it on.

Someone said you can never have too many bikes, but it wasn't my wife, and probably not yours either. But working on them (the bikes) does keep us sane.
Bikes at present:

83 XL 600r with a 2004 XR650L engine
And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair
83 GL in process :IDTS:

Not me! My 1000 has been driving me bats!

I bought it in 2010, and have put less than 600 miles on it because of constant breakdowns, lack of money, more problems, lack of money, finding parts, lack of money, etc.

I just wish I had something as dependable as my old '72 Sportster was! :(

G'day to All! :-D

Sorry to hear your ails with your GL-1000, they do get neglected and run down by PO's and require some funds to resurrect their reliability, but once sweet they are just so reliable crossy.gif

Well I finally started working on my #1 project again action1 removed the carbs again! and fitted genuine Honda float needle and seats as I don't trust the shonky looking after market ones.

rebuilt the rear brake calliper, new SS pistons, rubbers, hoses, pads and shims. sorry but forgot to document the process with the camera :(

rebuilt another final drive, fitted that and new brake lines all around.

Hope to achieve more today but the MoW is standing there with a 3" paintbrush in her hand leering at me (I am supposed to be decorating the grandsons bedroom) "But it's raining my dear, the paint won't dry!"

Happy & Safe riding to Everyone!

Peter.

G'day "Easter" and all other GoldWingers,

it tickles me to know others are thinking about me, I am fine, its just nothing has happened to the old girls, they are collecting dust at the moment out in the carport.

Most of my time is chewed up on my 1990SE and I just bought a second hand HRD sidecar to fit to my 1988, we also picked up a Rescue dog and we are putting time in to bond with her, she is an 18 month old Staffie X Shar Pei.

The sidecar is taking up a little more time that I anticipated to fit, mainly to bring her to state compliance and making a couple of modifications to the bike.

I only have one day left, but she should be on the road early next break.

G'day to All :-D

I finally got the chair onto the 15, a few minor things still have to be fixed and connected to finish her off, the fuel pump needs replacing, hand brake needs unjamming and a hydraulic one connected to the rear brake system, the tow bar wired up, a leading link fitted (on order from Wasp) and a paint job for the bike.

Now I can spend some time on my other bikes. I have removed the boat from my 76 and bolted it onto a hospital bed frame ready to drop off for the fibre glass repairs, then I can get all the road permits finished and legal to ride dancr

My 90SE is just collecting dust at the moment, I want my 76 on the road first, then I can concentrate on my 75 as I have all the bits I need to complete her, just the time is in short supply. My 78 is sharing the shed with the lawn mower, empty flower pots and fertilisers. :(

Happy and Safe Riding to All.
Peter.
