Re: A '75 followed me home today
Took it to the VJMC rally in Silver Springs this past weekend.
Even though it was raining/cloudy all day, I enjoyed my first rally.
Met some great people and saw may cool bikes.
My bike... The only other GL, a red '75... Other bikes...

More pics...
Sunday on the way home, I stopped at Don Garlits' museum in Ocala and they just happened to have a great Mopar show that day.
Big Daddy was there and I got to spend a little time talking with him.

Re: A '75 followed me home today
Just put a depost down on a '76 yellow.
Will be picking it up next Thursday.
I know of one guy (name starts with Pl and ends with ville) that will be glad another yellow is saved!

Re: A '75 followed me home today
She's ALIVE!!!
Swapped the fuel pump from another bike and fired right up.
Not a bit of smoke, and quiet as can be.
High idle (3500), but tomorrow sync and adjust the carbs then hit the road for a short test.

Re: A '75 followed me home today
It's official, she's back on the road.
Went for a ride to fill up on gas. Runs great and no leaks (so far).
I think I have a little two-wheeled "Christine" on my hands. As soon as I got up to 35mph, suddenly both the temp and fuel gauges started working.

Re: A '75 followed me home today
Glad to report still running great.
Perfect riding weather down here in FL. (Sorry to all those up there with the single digits these days).
Took a ride to a local museum and snapped a few shots.
I have decided to replace the tach with one that isn't cracked.
Other than that, she runs like brand new.

Re: A '75 followed me home today
Put around 100 miles on her today.
Ran great, but now have a leak coming from carb #4's linkage, both sides.
I'm guessing a stuck float for the gas to leak from there??
Off with the carb rack....

Re: A '75 followed me home today
That is a very strange place for gas to be leaking from. The gas has to get awfully high to get to that point.

It was on the side/kick stand after I returned and noticed it, but still.
Surprised it's running so well unless it just stuck after I returned.
It will be a few days before I can investigate.
Is it possible to check for a stuck float by just removing the bowl? I've never tried that.

Re: A '75 followed me home today - "Christine"
Took her out for a good ride today.
Haven't touched the leaking carb, and what do ya know, no leak now.
Never named one of my bikes, but this one is now "Christine".
Let's see if someday soon, after a couple good long rides, I show up the next morning and the cracked tach face looks new again.
