Baz, just in case you've forgotten. You need to illuminate the licence plate.

Thank you, and yes I had remembered (believable?) and it is work in progress. I am working along with the Single Vehicle Approval Manual, my bedtime reading. It is fiddly work for arthritic fingers and all will be revealed, er, shortly.

Not sure if these look ok. Another idea was a trendy '70's anglepoise lamp off the back of the seat. Maybe too steampunk for me.
You can also see how the tank fixings evolved. The idea was the light brackets would discretely hide them. Not sure about the discrete bit now.

A locking filler cap (circa '60's Morris Minor) will follow, and the Suzuki float sensor, for some reason sold in packs of 2, will be sealed in. There are 4 anchor nuts to fix it, and petrol proof mastic.

And I appreciate the replies to the last post, thank you.

Why not just mount the two lights in the holes that are already in the plate at the top?

Ok, gone with John's answer. Can't really move it up because I welded fixing straps behind and anyway I think it looks neat now. So, back to work

apologies again for tardy posting, but as last 8 or 9 months I have been doing almost nothing but electrics, there hasn't been a lot to report. When the horn stopped working I opened the switch and the wire had broken off. It was impossible to remove, found out later it was glued in. So bought a new switch that would cover all the missing functions. Not yet wired it in.

This is the perch for the back seat driver. Seat harness to be added. Small hoist wired in and functioning.

Was going to fit fuel gauge here, then found the hole in the shelter top panel, so filled it with a voltmeter. The red kill switch is for the hazard lights, a lengthy complication to the build but has to comply with regs. The original start switch on the right twistgrip had also failed, so added this one. The indicator light panel had been broken on arrival so replaced them with LED's. The panel is held on with mirror clamps.

Final tank work done. Sender works, fuel cap locks, tank well stuck in, and covered in vynil wrap.

Still got more electrics to do, kill switch, neutral switch and the electrical connections to the engine. Then the engine electrics, then hopefully time to add oil, water and fuel. One day

It has been a real pleasure to read your build and get a bit educated. I am hoping to try my hand at a trike someday. You are an amazing man with a vision and some awesome skills.

Hi Arkwinger, welcome to this bit of the site and thank you for your comments. Always about to give a hand, but other than trike stuff I still know next to nothing about Wings. The other people here will help you there. They have done wonders for me. Where are you from and what bikes are in your life?
