if you want to get all blingy, spend a few $$ on a cheap socket (harborfreight etc) of approximately the same size and give it the dremel treatment as you did the pipe. you can now attach a breaker bar, rachet, torque wrench to your specialty tool :-D

Yep - a socket would have allowed me to use my torque wrench....but its pipe wrench tight.

Here is my 2nd clutch tool - the bar catches the stud - and away you go...

There is something about the look of those yellow bikes isn't there?

Even though I have my 81 in the garage in pieces I know where there is a low mile yellow in great shape for sale about two hours from my door.

I'm hoping it doesn't sell before I get the Christmas Credit Cards paid off in February.

Then I'll just have to find a way not to get beaten and battered when I break the news to the Mrs ...

Got the top end painted today. That Drag Specialties valve cover has served its purpose - soon to be trash....

I'll probably get the motor re-installed between Christmas and New Years day.

VHT Ceramic Flat Aluminum paint is a perfect match. I did not re-paint the fuel pump or the mounting elbow - looks like the same paint.

Breather canister re-installed - had to sand off the brown-ish discoloration.

Dang I wish I would have thought about sanding that thing(canister). I put clear coat over my VHT. It made easy to clean up my grubby fingerprints. Nice work. It looks great.

She looks fantastic!! Don't forget to pull that right hand belt cover and the oil filter before trying to mount it up or you will scratch the devil out of them ;)
