A lot of little things are slowing progress. I spent a good part of today cleaning up the Tach and Speedo. They looked pretty nasty so I spent some time cleaning up bezels and such.

Lookin' good! Doesn't look like your that far from being finished. Maybe by the time you get it back on the road the weather will moderate enough for an entire weekend that we can get together for a little fun.

I actually ran into a bit of a snag. The beautiful new SS Brake lines I just put on will not allow me to add the kick backs I need on my handle bars. I am going to have to get a new one made and sent in. I also need to see if I can get a 78 model fork brace to fit my 76 front end. The rest of it is going ok.

A lot better than anything of mine is going. I spent the day taking Christmas decorations off the Yosemite Falls in the rain and sure don't feel motivated for bike work now.

No open beers while I am turning wrenches. But if you look in the botton picture you will notice against the back wall of the garage is a full size refer. It stays stocked for after the work is done!!

When I pop the first beer nothing but cleaning of the shop goes on.

How long are the ones that are too short? I need to do new lines on mine and might be able to use yours if you can't.

The one that is a problem is from the M/C to the Splitter. As I recall it was right at 22". I emailed your buddy and sent him some money. Hopefully I will see a new line in a few days. I gave him 24.5 as a new length.

Actually I have decided to keep that line and use it on my 75.

What is left of my bagger

Image

It is a sad day. I had many thousands of good miles and met many friends on that bike. Hopefully the next one will serve me as well :-D
