Nice candidate for B.O.T.M. if I've ever seen one.

LOVE that blue... mine will be just a shade darker...

Wow- really sums it up. The look is classic wing with just a little "bad boy" so the girls will look....how old is your grandson? And no girlfriend? That will change soon with this bike !!!!

Great job and an inspiration for us to resurrect other wings that otherwise might be scrapped or parted out....

Hi Dean - What is that clamped on the handlebars near the clutch lever control? It looks like something with a cover over it? Just curious.

It's a J&M CB radio with weather band and an input for an MP3 or other player.

He just turned 18 in January and graduates from High School June 12th. He's real anxious to ride the bike as you can imagine.

Gotta put this story in here, some of you have heard it already.

Last summer, NGW Ride, last day, I'm 2,000 miles from home and about to head back, stator fails ....

Dean puts the Fat Rat on his trailer where this beautiful blue 1100 should be .... throws me the keys and says "Follow me".

I ride the beautiful blue 1100 to Raleigh NC, it rides as nicely as it looks.

We get to Dean's and enjoy his hospitality while he and Steve (Whiskerfish) take the motor out, replace the stator with one from Dean's stash, put the motor back in and send me on my way back to Canada.

This is the very short version of a fabulous TRUE story.

Full version available at NGW Ride campfires wherever they may be.

That is a thing of beauty! Your grandson should be very happy and thankful to have you around.
Did you have to re-jet the carbs when you put the road king mufflers on? I've been thinking about putting those on my '83 interstate, but don't know what else I would need to do to make it breathe properly.
thanks,
Mark
