Thanks to Pistol Petes

Last fall I sent the carbs and manifolds off my 78 GL1000 to Pete for a rebuild. The bike had sat for 10 years and it looks like to PO had been into the carbs before I got it. I can "field strip" and clean an Amal off one of my Brit bikes on the roadside with no trouble and have it running in short order, but the thought of going into one these (let alone 4) and getting positive results seemed more than I wanted to chance. I got them back from Pete in less than 2 weeks. Bolted everything back on and after allowing for the float chambers to fill the bike started right up and idled perfectly. Throttle response is seamless and quick. Thanks for a job well done Pete!

I had my carbs done by him too, perfect! No problems at all. I heard he had stopped doing carb work, hope he changes his mind.

Love the 1100 set they built for me. Best money I ever spent on the wing.

Sent my 1976 LTD "993 build" Tach and Speedo to Pete for a lube job. The tach was screaming and my try to get lube into it failed.

Sent in the Speedo cause if you send it one with a lube issue, when you get it back the other one will scream within a week.

They they came back looking super good. And super fast service to boot. Pistol Pete Broody is not just for Carburetors any more!!!

I don't think he has ever been "out" of the business. He did announce that he was passing the business on to his son, but will stay involved in it. He is having a gathering in Oak Ridge April 27 - May 1. Contact him or check his Facebook for more details.

He is postponing it about a month. I don't think that is finalized. Check his Facebook, that's how he appears to be organizing it.
