Easy to find on Amazon etc etc.... Just search for "S312 brake line"
Alarmdoc wrote:Hi Steve

I purchased these from Benson Auto. Their part number is S312, steel brake line 3/16 x 12". This was an over the counter item. I had been looking to get one made but they had these already done. They may be a little long but it would not be hard to cut to the proper length and re flair the end. They were $2.56 Can. About 25 cents US.

Interesting. I would think the lines would have M10 X 1 metric fittings.

I was commenting that the lines on the GL should be metric. And metric hard lines are available, I just don't think that the S312 is metric. I searched a few days ago for metric steel brake lines on Amazon and found some. Appear to be for VWs.

On my 1975 GL1000 the thread size on rear master cylinder brake line is M10-1.25
The line going into the caliper is the same size.

I made a new hard line for my ‘76 by using 3/16” hard line and re-using the original flare nuts.
