UK Thermo switch

#1

Post by UK_Andy »

Iv had trouble getting the non Honda thermo switch in the UK. Tried a Civic one but it was a 16mm thread not an 18mm. Dont wanna buy the Honda one cos its £35+ and Im tight.

Went to my local car parts shop and the guy looked through the book and came up with this. It opens at 95deg which in the Uk wont really ever be a problem, maybe in a warmer climate it might be.

Ok, so Ill need new connections, Ill solder direct to these.

When I remember what car its for and Iv fitted it Ill let you know

There is a cross over parts list. http://www.ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7416 I put a substitute in, think it fits some early 2000's nissans.
I need to remember to keep my expectations tiny so I don't end up so whiny.

I think that the stock one is 98 degrees C. Don't know if that's an issue.
