Starter Solenoid with built-in blade fuse holder
Just an FYI, I had to replace the solenoid on my 1100 recently and found a replacement with a built-in blade fuse holder to replace the dog bone style 30A Honda main fuse. It was made by Rick's Motorsport Electrics. Cost is about $40.

Rick's lists:
PN:65-101 for the 1000 and
PN:65-102 for the 1100
This image is heisted from Dennis Kirk's website, kind of a lousy pic though. It just says "available in 8 variations" I can probably post a picture of mine tomorrow. I may also call Rick's to verify that the solenoid for the 1000 also has this feature as I have only personally seen the one for the 1100. Stay tuned.

Re: Starter Solenoid with built-in blade fuse holder
A starter solenoid from a Honda CBR fits nicely into a GL1000 spot. Can be found easily and inexpensively on eBay.
