The NGW Project Bike. Body/frame/style
IMPORTANT !
BEFORE YOU GO ON;
PLEASE READ *THIS*.
So here we go.
This is what have been done so far:
Ready for strip down
...the 'scallops' thing on the 'tank';
that day I was supposed to go riding and the tour was canceled
due to the weather...so, you know; I had just been visiting
the "Killer Bobber" guys, and I just wanted to pi** them off
a bit, by adding scallops to a GoldWing, so I spend a couple of hours
doing it, just for fun.
Darn! they liked what I did .-(
Who need fenders anyway
That's more like it. This bike's going naked
Standard seat??...naaaa. Way too big.
Small front fender? Harley aftermarked seat?....nope!
We want 16 inch FAAAAT wheels...Bobber style. YES!
Will it be OK without rear fender?
Let's try this; here's a GL sofa.-)
...here's two half sofas
take off some hight. We want a low seat
Put it back on seat pan
How that?.....er....not too pretty
Now this is more like it: 16 inch fat front wheel on (tyre is side-car type. Willhave to go)
OHHH yes; found this on ebay. Triumph Speed Triple seat.
Short. Low. Has a humb at the back = perfect.
Made a (very fast) photoshop draft of how I'd like it
needs to be modified to fit here
front of seat shortened. Fits nicely
fits pretty flipping good, I'd say
look at that "tank" to seat curve
yes...curve's good
front fender as rear fender?
a friend gave me this old fender-bit. I'll go for that
more (now really fast) photoshopping. Standard muffler has to go
new brace for front lamp. Sitting lower. Speedo etc. lowered too
as the fork legs were off, in order to replace lamp brace:
why not fix them up!?
going for a painted look here. This is not a crome-flashy bike
Rebuild 16 inch wheels, new tires (got them from a freind REAL chep)
and a test set-up with BSA mufflers.
Not bad ! Nor bad AT ALL !
Link to the wheel rebuild
Kind of agressive looking?....GRRRRRRRR
I think it gonna be called Black Bulldog Bobber
...we'll see. It will probably change dusins of times.
Any ideas for styling?
Yeah I know; those "scallops" on the 'tank'....mmmmm?

Octane , What size of front tire ? I have the 140/90 - 16 " on the back and would love the front as well . The stock tyre I have on front is the 120/90 - 18 " . I would trade my 18 " Lester rim , brand new 120/90 - 18 " Avon Venom for a 16 " front rim . ANYBODY 8) ??? Love what you are doing to that Baby .

Hey Lars, so far a yob well done.
Did you use a rear rim for your frontwheel, is spoking it a difficult yob??
I can imagine for respoking a wheel I will have to go to a specialist or is it easily done

Hi Z and RR
remember those speedo/rev. things I asked you about?
Watta'you know, I found them tucked away in a box here
How about an off white stripe, with a red pin-stripe (like on the rims)
...Small speedo/rev.
...Lowered headlight
...'Racing' stripes on tank-top
mmmmm I like that. Kind of makes the tank look smaller.
Getting there..
Oh I could go on doing this stuff for weeks.
Anyone care to raise their opinion ?

I don't have them on Annie also, don't need them
If the engine gets to warm I can switch on the fan with an extra switch I installed
Have driven it like this for two years now, no problems yet.
