East run, hooked with Vintage days.

#1

Post by Oldewing »

Like to throw this out there. Vintage Days is July 22, 24. How about riding southern Ohio on Weds and Thursday with the normal BBQ Thurday night at my place. Then the Event weekend.

So if I find a Motel to use a basecamp, we could meet there Tuesday night ride Weds and Thursday.

Just starting to work this out...

Think I can make that work, worth while to work out the details. Nice to have the opportunity for a three-fer.

A few years ago i did your place in 2 days and rode over from Winchester on 50. That was a really nice ride.

Interested. Providing the tall foreheads in both our governments don't come up with more excuses to close the border. If the roads are anytHing like the roads around Mid Ohio, it will make for terrific riding.

I would have more than a passing interest in this. It would all depend on what inter country travel would be like by then.

South east Ohio offers some pretty technical stuff ... the 'Triple Nickel", hwy 555 is a 60 mile long twisty with some real surprises along the way ...

Gord(where did the road go ?) Jones  crossy.gif

555 is scary sometimes with all the blind hills and driveways. Fun but got to be on top of your game.

You got a place to stay you know that. Can probably cobble something together for you to ride.

I have a buddy, that lives in Southeast Ohio scouting for a hotel for our base camp now. I received the paperwork for our booth at Vintage Days from the AMA. It is not due till March, so we have time to get a hard list of those who want tickets.
