Looking at the Red Roof in Marietta, 702 Pike street,

Not an Independent that we normally run, but outside doors open to the parking lot. And in town, close to lots of stuff.

44.00 an night. Can't get down there this week, but will run down next week to lookee around...

Read a book awhile ago called the Pioneers about the settling of the Ohio River Valley. Marietta was the first town. There are some Hopewell Indian culture burial mounds in Marietta that the town founders wanted to preserve. So lacking any other method to do so they designated the area around the mounds as the town cemetery. I thought it was interesting that during that era they thought to preserve them and found and innovative way to do so. This was in 1788 by the way. Before the US Constitution was adopted. And, in case your wondering, the town was named after Marie Antoinette to honor the French for the aid during the Revolutionary war.

Our normal spot , 309 is locked in for the event. Tables will be there if you want to sell some parts or even full bikes. Looks like Red Roof has a AMA discount too, however I have not spoken to them as of yet.
