Safe Distance Run to Kingston Ontario

#1

Post by Rat »

Kingston has one of the lowest incidences of the Virus in the country .... so let’s go there ....

A few of NGW's stalwarts .... led by Mike C .... will gather for a safe distanced picnic style lunch by the Locomotive in the Park in scenic downtown Kingston .... across from City Hall on the lakefront.

Next Wednesday May the 13th about noon .... bring your own or take out from a local spot ....

The forecast is great .... anyone and every one who wishes is Welcome to join in.

If I didn't have a work commitment at 1:00 I'd be there. It would give me a chance to stretch the legs of my new (to me) '98 Valk.

Gents;
The weather people are saying frost early in the morning and a slow warm up to 60 ISH (F) by late afternoon. It will be a chilly ride west but a nicer ride east.

I/m envious. Have a great and safe time/ BTW, I concur, Cyborg is essential.
Goldwings don't accelerate, they gain inertia.

1978 GL1000 - almost stock - needs a head replaced, parts are ready to install!
1979 GL1000 - Winter project/parts bike - custom "Busted"
1983 GL1100 Standard- raised from the dead and back to organ donor status
And the newest acquisition, 1979 XS 650F to be a sidecar tug. crossy.gif

Don’t be too envious .... I rode through 2 snowstorms today .... blowing 25 knots ....

But I’m there and safe and dry (now) ....

Well ....there were 4 of us gathered in the sunshine in Kingston's City Park at noon today (some were early).

Mark ordered from a well known Fish and Chip spot .... and they (eventually) delivered a great lunch right to the Park .... awesome.

After tales were told and tires kicked we all set out back home .... except Mark who went back to work.

A beautiful, somewhat breezy day and a great time had by all.

I'll post a pic as soon as I get my phone charged up ....
