So if the weather is decent Monday I will depart Norfolk. Supposed to rain every day between now and then! Plan to take 40 across most of Va then pickup 58 near Martinsville VA. Probably stop for the night somewhere around Stuart or Meadows of Dan. That is 300 miles off the Thruway. Then Tuesday run the run from Meadows of Dan to Slade is just a hair shy of 6 hours. Plan to arrive 2-3 PM or so on Tuesday.

If Monday is cruddy I will look at the radar and make a decision then. the options will be a slab burn Monday or a slab burn Tuesday arriving much later in the day

A suggestion for a slight change in your first day's route. Stay on 40, once past Ferrum 40 becomes very motorcycle friendly if you get my drift. At Woolwine you'll come to the junction with Route 8. Turn right and it takes you to the Parkway at Tuggle's Gap. Turn south on the Parkway and you'll come to 58 at Meadows of Dan pretty quickly. These are all well paved roads and you WILL enjoy them :)

Yup, social distancing is our friend for those events. Smaller crowd makes it more reasonable.

So due to medical reasons me and ArWinger will not be able to attend, if anyone is going to be traveling I-40 through Arkansas (Russellville area) to get there let us know and we can arrange a meet up, cup of coffee or something. Really was hoping to make it but not this time around.

Hope to see you all at the 2021 meet. Sorry to hear of the issues, but they happen.
