Let's start a list so we can make a plan ....

Paris Show is June 15, 16, 17 We'd probably stay in the Cambridge area as there are lots of options and its a nice
1/2 hour ride from there to the Paris Fairgrounds.

You had mentioned something after the show to do. It could also be before the show, if that fits into peoples schedules better

I'm personally flexible but a few have said that this weekend is family oriented and tight for time.

If there is enough interest i would be happy to do an informal ride around the area on the Thursday if anyone wants to come early. There are some nice rural roads in the neighbourhood, nothing very technical .... but bucolic ....

The 2018 rally information is not posted on the CVMG website as yet.
They are waiting for the poster and graphis to be ready before releasing the 2018 information.
FYI, the theme for this rally is going to be military bikes.
2018 is 100 year anniversary of the end of WW1 and also 50 years of CVMG.

I just returned from having lunch with Brother Rat (yes, he paid!) and we were discussing the Paris rally 2018. We have formulated a tentative plan. On Thursday June 14, we thought that a ride to the Forks of the Credit River area would be a nice tour of the "near north" of south central Ontario. The ride would not be too technical, just a nice jaunt through the countryside. After the ride, a dinner could be planned at a local restaurant in Cambridge to make preparations for the weekend. The rally is the 15-16 and 17th. Just a reminder that if you pre-register for the rally, you are granted access to the area starting at 9am of Friday. If you register after cutoff or at the gate the you must wait until noon to enter. We will have our pop up canopy and banner among the swap vendors so people will have a spot to congregate. There is a small speedway oval with racing on the Friday night at the fair grounds for those that are interested. Saturday morning features a reliability run for vintage bikes with a stop at the Varey estate for refreshments. This run takes you on a planned route (which is self guided) along the less traveled roads in the area . For those that opt to forego the run, the swap meet will be in full swing. Think MidOhio on a smaller scale! Maybe we could have a dinner together in Paris and then head back to wherever we are staying. On Sunday morning I was hoping that I could convince Oldboy to give us a tour of the automotive shop that he manages and then participants are free to go their own way.
Keep 'em running!!!
