Doing a little saving up of my own. But it is about 400 one way for me, and worth the (small) cost

Father's day is the 17th so the 15th looks good. The 16th is Rhinebeck so I might be cutting out Saturday morning.
Did someone say that a group ride may be before or after the event?

Current (flexible) plan is for a group ride on the Thursday, yeah .... more details to be hammered out closer in ... note that if you pay in advance you can get into the Site on Friday morning at 0900, otherwise you have to wait til noon ....

Their website will start taking orders in January sometime ....

Pepper and I are in for Thursday's ride and Friday at the Show. Plan currently is to depart Saturday. Need to identify the preferred hotel.

As much as it is possible to plan that far ahead, count Redwood and I in. Like Jeff, we would probably roll out on Saturday.

Thinking we need Pete to make a hotel call. Arlington Hotel in Paris or Best Western Plus in Cambridge? It would be nice to be in a small downtown area but there are always other things to consider.

Best Western In Cambridge would be my choice. Close to the 401 and all amenities. We could meet for breakfast each day and then ride together to which ever venue we will be attending that day ...

They are waiting for the poster and graphis to be ready before releasing the 2018 information.
FYI, the theme for this rally is going to be military bikes.
2018 is 100 year anniversary of the end of WW1 and also 50 years of CVMG.
Registration is now avaliable on the CVMG website.

It's sorta depressing for me to process this event is presently 6 months in the future!
The closest NGW Club member from New York State that I've actually met in person, is Bluethunder.
Long Island,though. :-?

I can take some comfort in knowing that the US/Canadian border is only a 2 hours ride away; directly North of me, on Route 81. ~100 miles.
A nice one day round trip. ;)

The ride to the Paris Fairgrounds is like 5-6 hours riding directly West of my place.
But, A nice one day ride during the first days of Summer.tumb2

As usual I'm rambling. Trike and I will eventually cross paths with y'all somewhere!

oh yeah..... Happy New Year!! :oldies action1
