Sheesh, you guys couldn't get much further from the SW. For sure, I couldn't do it in the same season. But, that's a nice ride. I and a couple of friends rode from Greater Boston around into Nova Scotia years ago. (Cheated and took a ferry from Yarmouth to Portland on the way home). Something special about the Northeast. I think it's the salt air and quahogs along the coast.

I will be more then happy to help coordinate from this end. You can ride the trail in a day if you only stop for gas and coffee. but to really enjoy Cape Breton you should make it at least a 3 day ride. Heck you can spend a day at Fortress Louisbourg.

I suggested on the SOHC site that we might coordinate their second get-together with the NGW in Deadwood. Would that be OK? Is the proposed meetup at Wild Bill's again?

I, for one, am not a huge fan of a multi organization rally.
i'm sure they are great guys, after all they like bikes. But this has been kind of an NGW thing the last few times, and may be considered the central run this year. Which would make it eligible for some club funs. Based on members in attendance, etc. If they showed up in the area, at the same time, and were doing there own thing,....I'm sure some handshaking, and conversation would happen at some point. Just my opinion

Are there RV hook-ups at the campground? Can't decide on RV and trailer vs truck and trailer or just truck and ramp!

RV is 30 foot, trailer is about 24 foot, so I should be ok. Just can't talk Jeanne into riding that far, she doesn't seem to like the tent idea either!

I squelched the notion on the SOHC forum so no worries.
