If you haven't been to 'Wheels through Time' in Maggie Valley, its worth making the trip.
A large collection of historic motorcycles .... all in working order !!
Plus you get to ride some wonderful roads just to get there .... and just upstream .... a great BBQ spot ....

Re: Feeler: Summer Meet in the NC Mountains, Balsam Lake Lodge
I was in North Carolina this past week, visiting family down there. 60 miles nw from Wilmington. (The weather was perfect!)
A female cousin was there, too, that lives up in the mountains near Robbinsville.
She told me I needed to come and visit her and husband, bring the trike, ride The Tail of the Dragon, and go to Wheels Through Time in Maggie Valley.
Sounds interesting, but a 6 hours driving trip from where I always visit family in eastern NC, to get to Robbinsville is more than my wife considers a reasonable endeavor.

I have to agree that Wheels Through Time is the best museum ever. Dale keeps most stuff in working order.

Yeah, I do a Volvo meet there every year, and we always snag our weekend a year in advance. If there's interest, I can do a planning thread for a year out.
