Cliff- It was a pleasure to finally meet you after all the years ago when you offered suggestions about my 76 carb issues.

Mike -Glad your shoulder allowed you to bring your bike

Sandy - Damn you and the Yellows. Now I have the bug again.

Gord and Pete - Thanks for your work on this and your encouragement.

Those are fighting words on every forum but this one. For most on this ride, we are too old to fight for a lesser cause than beer.

I'm just remarking on Doug's new "do". I haven't seen him or a picture of him with it

He seems to go through a cycle every couple of years he lets it grow out.

My brother in law in Vermont has a 1000 that he wants to sell. I had worked on it two summers ago, the carbs were rebuilt by Gary Root (Doc Root) and we installed a Dyna Ignition and a set of Sportster mufflers. The bike now needs valve stem seals and he said 'forget it'. His back is failing and he says it is too painful to ride. Interested? It is red, but you do have some experience with painting things yellow.
