Fred,
Cliff (GLtriker) and I are booked at the Capricorn. Rooms are still available - inexpensive, biker friendly and have a large parking lot for those trailering or needing to make repairs

After calling several places nearby (and not so nearby), the place to stay is the
There are rooms available at: Tuesday September 12 @ $99 and Wednesday September 13 @ $109.
They have a large parking lot which will accommodate trailers and (hopefully not) repairs. They are also biker friendly.
And it is virtually across the street from the "campsite". IMHO, this is the best place to stay for this ride.
Well, it looks like 2018 has come early. Flights are booked, repair stuff for the oil leak is packed, so I guess you will have to add another to that long list Gord!
OK, so any one either got one to share or want to share a room before I try booking one?

I don't see anywhere to register for this. Someone help this old man out! I've been on the computer for 18 hours sorting flights to all over your country and Mexico amongst a load of other stuff like buying concert tickets for me and others and I'm done in and ready for bed

I've no idea how busy the hotels/motels are going to be around that time, but I don't want to leave it too late. Trying to save as many dollars as possible as this enormous trip is really killing me ( I have blisters on my credit card now!). Just need a room share or a corner to throw a sleeping bag down if anyone has any ideas.

OF, if you're considering a motel room, the Capricorn allows 48 hour notice for cancellation. You can make a reservation and cancel it at the last minute should something else/better come up. At least you know that there is a space for you.
Finally, managed to get the registration paid, so I'm definitely going to be there........perhaps.

I have a prepaid room in Kingston that is not refundable. I am not using it due to the distance to the proper Koa. So if someone wants to drive the 60 kinks each way every day, then perhaps it is an option.
