Eastern Oklahoma is something else.... there is a very obscure part that is barely one car wide with curbs.... but you will have to search to find it. I know Redwood had her Morgan on it once

had fun riding rt-66 in the cuba MO. area back in '15, then later that year I rode rt-66 from Pontiac IL> back to Chicago. earlier this year after leaving Stockton lake, MO. I picked up rt-66 just before the munger motel. been thinking about going back to Pontiac and riding rt-66 from Pontiac to st. louis at the end of next july as my birthday ride

Several Mississippi boys are planning to ride as much of Route 66 as possible, from Chi-Town to Laos NM, to attend the Valkyrie Inzane Rally in June of 2019. In the planning stage now; have ridden several different portions through the years. Looking forward to the trip.

The Inzane 2019 Valkyrie gathering will likely be on my short list for next year. I toured through there a couple of summers ago. Stayed a couple of nights in Taos and explored the mountain loop to the NE. Super area for riding!

I love the historical sites along older roadways. Several years ago I considered trying to run the old Lincoln Highway, the 1st coast to coast U.S. route. I never got all the way through the planning stages. I did learn a lot about how roads were constructed, how to spot old road beds, I can spot an old gas station or highway garage from a distance. I recognize vintage architecture like an old chain restaurant even if it's been painted over and is now an insurance office or what not. I see interesting things (too me) that other people don't even notice. I soon found that I can find a lot of that stuff on so many older routes that my desire to run just the "Lincoln Highway" decreased and I find those same types of sites on several other roads. I'm glad I learned what I did from my research of the Lincoln Highway but I'm happy just knowing that stuff and seeing things everywhere that date back to the early to mid 1900's that most people don't even notice.
