I'm curious, how many people usually come to these breakfast runs? If I were to come by, I haven't met any of you before...is it a closed meeting? Can anyone join? How will I know who you are? I'm kicking around the idea of coming because I'd like to meet some other like minded guys (and ladies too) that I could get to know as I piece this old bike back together.

By all means, come on down. Everyone is welcome. We just like getting together, talking, eating and talking some more. Sometimes only two of us will show, other times there are six or eight. We can be recognized better in warmer weather because of the bikes but you can also look for a couple of older guys poking fun at each other. Scan through the many pages of this thread and you will see some pictures.

Hop over to the introductions forum and tell us about your bike and yourself.

Three for breakfast this morning (someone forgot). Next month I will be unavailable. I get the feeling old man winter isn't done with us yet but we had a beautiful day for riding today.

Bike didn't do so well today. Radio stopped working due to a failed ground. Repaired and added a second ground for backup. On the way home I noticed a clicking sound when using the front brake. Figured on checking out the noise when I got home. Less than a mile from home I lost the front brake completely. Very carefully made it home. Found out one of the caliper bolts worked its way out and caused the caliper to pivot away from the rotor. Cleaned and flushed the system while making the repair. Both front brakes have now been refreshed, probable should do the back also.

Sorry to hear about your trouble with the brakes. You need to borrow a torque wrench? lolol

Torque wrench is not the problem, there are at least two of them here. I did have both calipers off recently and perhaps I missed one bolt. I'll be keeping an eye on these bolts for a while. Hope there isn't some weird condition causing the bolts to shake loose.

I was just kidding about the torque wrench. I'm sure you just missed one. I've never seen one come loose when tightened properly.
