On the Kawasaki they say 4mm +- 1mm below the level of the carb body. That is for Keihin or Mikuni carbs CV or Smooth bore.

Not the best angle to see the fuel level but it is the only shot we have. Looking at it on a larger screen makes me think we are way low. He wants to proceed with the install as is.

I'm with Robin. what I did was to install the clear tube and bend it back up so it is straight up and down. Then I make a mark on the tube where the tube lined up with the carb body. Using my calipers I made another mark 4 mm down from the first mark. I just used a magic marker or Sharpie. Fill the bowls and then you can see your fuel level. You should prop the carb up on a 2x4 or similar so the clear tube exits the bowl down and then curves back up so you can hold it right up next to the carb body for the measurement. Duct tape or scrap wire will hold the tube up next to the carb for you. It doesn't really matter how long the tube is as long as your IV fuel source is on and filling while the measurement is made.

Hey John, don't know if you saw the conversation about run registrations. Apparently your registration didn't go through.

Not sure if I can make it to breakfast this month. We are having company from both east and west in town for our grandson's baptism. Family has a very aggressive itinerary for the weekend. I'm still in hopes I can get away for a couple of hours. Would like to go over some of the plans with John for our upcoming trip to the central rally. Any thoughts on where to meet for breakfast?

The 20th is about the busiest day for me in years. I have at least 3 family functions that I have to attend so I'm not going to make it. We can always reschedule.
