Jeanne and I have decided to bring our RV. Can't leave our pup at home by herself, we took her to Sturgis last year and she did fine. Anyone know of a close by RV park?

There is a very nice campground, not crowded mostly pull through sites located just south of Galax. Here's the website. You don't have to prepay for a reservation. It's a quiet place, not crowded, well maintained with laundry and bath facilities.

Made reservation at the coolbreeze campground, about a third less cost of KOA. See everyone in September!

Well, it looks like I'm officially out for this years run. Been waiting for results from our follow up visit this morning and I will have to take daily care of stuff here for a while longer. Wife is healing from her last bout but it is going slower than expected. We don't even have another follow up for a couple of weeks. I'll miss seeing the group and set my sights on next year.

You will be missed! Working on a ladies house this morning and had to pull up my appointment book so I did not schedule her in conflict with any of my Dr's appointments! Getting old sucks!

so here is the schedule:

Tuesday: afternoon lunch (smoked ribs and fixin's) at our house and back roads back to the motel 6.

Wednesday: For the adventurous iron butt crowd, ride to the back of the dragon, Tazwell VA (so you can buy the shirt) and eventually back to the motel 6.
For the "want to relax and still do some twisties crowd, up VA100 over Draper mountain and lunch in Pulaski, down across the new river and back up to the Motel 6.

Thursday: relaxing ride to Floyd (aka the peoples republic of Floyd). Head south on VA 8 to a covered bridge, back up and lunch at Maybry Mill and south on the parkway to the Blue ridge music center on the parkway

I might add, we have one extra bed if someone needs a place before or after, and plenty of room to park a trailer. We are about 1 hour from the motel 6
