Re: Wild Bills Campground 16-18 August 2018
I'm thinking about joining y'all on this run. I love that area up there and it's only about a 15 hour ride from here. Not sure which bike I'd ride, but most probably the 79 dresser. If it isn't up to it, the 99, or possibly the 84. It and the 79 need some work. Depends a lot on how my wife is doing. I've never been on one of these runs, but know Roger from runs with the Saunders group.

Right on Ric. Hamster and I are thinking of trailering, so we can bring naked wings to tool around on. Are you bringing the mean machine?

Re: Wild Bills Campground 16-18 August 2018
Gentlemen,
This is my first post here, ever. I don’t yet own a Goldwing, but a friend has offered to sell me his 78 GL1000. As soon as it’s out of winter storage, I’m closing the deal and taking ownership. However, I do own a “naked” 77 Triumph Bonneville, which I’ve restored and ride on motorcycle-camping trips. Last August, for example, I had aboard my tent, sleeping bag, chair, camp cooking gear, coffee pot, food, clothes, tools and even a small cooler. I’ll go anywhere on a naked bike and can be very comfortable. Hopefully, later this summer, maybe by Deadwood time, I can travel on a naked Wing. Incidentally, I lived for over 10 years in the Black Hills of South Dakota, thru the 80s. My daughter lived there until 2013 and wife & I often visited. If you have questions about Deadwood or the Black Hills, just ask.

Re: Wild Bills Campground 16-18 August 2018
We have members who show up on bikes other than a Goldwing, so no matter what two (or three) wheels you have you would be welcome to the campfire.
BTW.... 78's are the best looking!

Re: Wild Bills Campground 16-18 August 2018
I do have a touring bike of a different make. An 86 Suzuki 1400 Cavalcade, but I hesitate to admit that on a Goldwing forum. Sorry guys. I also own the first bike I ever bought brand new. It’s a 67 Triumph Mountain Cub which I bought in 67.
Happy the 78 is the best looking since that’s what I’m buying.
