Would you gents believe someone actually bought it for a whopping $1800?

I’ll say the idea was solid, but was poorly executed.

Great project bike, and concept going on. Will be monitoring your progress. Are you thinking of an upgrade to EFI? Don't throw out the plastic, mine's the same colour. Cheers

hadn't thought about EFI. I like carbs & there's only the two now instead of one per cylinder... any thoughts on advantages to EFI. pretty sure a higher pressure pump would be needed...

was contemplating selling the plastic & forks, front wheel/brakes on eBay, but almost can't give any of it away it seems. oh, and the cable/lever adjustable rear floorboards.
it's all in pretty decent shape, only 53k on the ticker.
if you want any of it lemme know. cost of shipping. :-D

Thought about EFI if you're going for a project anyway. It would get the brain box going for sure.

I'm looking at an ECU upgrade/replacement for my '85 LTD FI bike. Have settled on the Speeduino as the replacement. Not looking for performance enhancement, just that an old ECU, when not if it fails, will turn the bike into a boat anchor. It will also be nice to look at the engine operation and if necessary to be able to "tweak" the CFI system. Another tool in the box to troubleshoot the bike when issues occur.

Cheers
