I put Emgo superbike bars on my 83 GL1100 and really like the ergonomics with those on the bike, although they were 7/8" bars. Did they switch to 1" bars on the GL1200s? I'd say that style should work though.

The weather is finally warming up so I have been on the bike lately. Gives me new motivations to work on The Artful Dodger. I placed some orders on Amazon for new handlebars, controls, and grips. Also, I spent some time and worked up the schematic for my replacement cluster Image then I created the PCB and ordered 10 of them from jlcpcb.com Image
This board is setup to take signals from the fuel tank, temp sensor, and all idiot lights. It does not do anything with the Tach (That will be a hard one to deal with, it is a noisy high voltage signal. I did find a circuit that might solve this for me but it is an older one so I will need to do some research to find updated parts) or the Speedo ( I have an idea on how to do this, but that will need a separate board. For now I wrote a quick Android app that speaks the speed through my headphones every minute ). This board also includes an Accelerometer to cancel the turn signals and outputs to control new lights. Work in progress is up on my github https://github.com/wrickert/Cluster . Expect an update by early next week at the latest with how this works and the new handlebars.
