Inspired greatly by Mrs. Randakk himself and few others. im fairly new to bikes, only been playing with them for 2 winters. I love rat ride and rough edges so there it is!

I was gonna go Monroe air ride but didn't expected the lifting action of the shaft drive, what a weird feeling when it lift me up the first time. that had to change.

and putting those (copy...I know, im cheap) IDF40 got me to figure out 1 bend valves. which I change without changing oil!

a lot of stuff going on with this project. I wish I could tune those carbs a bit better but for that my linkage will have to be improve... otherwise its crazy fast and the feeling of riding something so different make me appreciated it even more!

Quite an understatement there. Love the creativity. Are your intake manifolds home made? Keep up posted on your progress and experimentation.

few pics of the tank mod up there 5speed.

Yeah I did my own intake. didn't have my CNC plasma back then and I hand machine my 3/8 plate then cut my aluminum tubing according to the space I was left with. I pretty much eyeball the height I needed and voila!


Question: ive seen that bmw with the atv differential somewhere here but I couldn't find anyone who actually did a GW chaine drive conversion... I know. its maintenance free that shaft, but its unchallenging. Pointer of previous thread?

Bikes at present:

83 XL 600r with a 2004 XR650L engine
And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair

Do you have a vent in that fuel tank? If not might cause fuel starvation at speed?
Bikes at present:
