Painting everything red adds an element of sophistication. Well done, sir.

Top notch build. Technically and artistically. Mother Honda would be proud. The GL1200 is a flagship again!

So....
I've had a bit of a setback over the last couple days...
When I unlinked the rear master cylinder, I made a big boo boo and ran the rear brake to the rear brake port, and plugged the front brake port. I knew better! You have to plug the rear brake port, and use the front brake port for the rear brakes.
Otherwise the rear brake caliper will lock up. Well.. I didn't realize soon enough and buned some parts... Even melted the dust seals in the caliper. At first I thought the caliper just locked, so installed a different one, but after that one did the same thing I realized what I did. Luckly when I painted the bike, I also painted a spare caliper support, so all ended ok.

Bummer on the brakes! Seat cut into tank looks great!!!
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Was out today for the first actual ride...
put a bit over 200 miles on it.
Other than finishing dialing in the carbs, everything is good to go!

There is much to like here. The COPS are the tip of the iceberg.
