44's??? I don't think so. Waaaaayyy over carbureted for 1200 cc displacement - even at 12000 RPM. 40's are plenty and then some.

I have often wondered if a fella could fab up a manifold similar to a single carb one that would accept a cheap blower and still have a big enough plenum to do some good. This is just a pipe dream of mine, mind you, as I don't have any experience making a blower work.
If you want low end torque, the turbo or NOS probably isn't what you are looking for...a blower on the other hand.....
