Have any of you made a fork brace?
I know I could buy one and be done with it, but I like to challenge myself from time to time and build something instead.
Between my lathe, drill press and MIG and TIG welders, I feel I could do it and make it look good.
Any photos or advice?

Re: Home made FORK BRACE?
I made one like that one. No drill press. The holes in my spacers are quite large, but as long as it’s tight and you use a little loctite, and it’s spaced properly, it seems to work. I need to get mine cleaned up with a router. I had an extra triple tree so I installed the extra one below the brace to mark the spacing. I assumed the forks run parallel to each other. Most fenders need the spacers to clear, but a different fender from more modern bikes might be found to fit above the brace.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Yes, I found that one recently, as well. It's on a 'rat' bike 1100. Old thread, though...Brant wrote:I remember one made with two u bolts and angle iron.
