Maybe you´re interested now in some technical details?
Let´s take a look at my hydraulic clutch.

The manufacturer is Magura, Germany, The name of their customizing kits is "Hymec Street". They offer kits for a number of common motorbikes. For my GL1100 project they compiled a made-to-order kit, based on my sketches. Here are the original Magura Order ID-numbers:

Item number 723295:
"Geberzylinder 167, 9,5 mm". This is the hand lever with master cylinder.

Item number 723187:
"Kupplungsschalter 167". The electric safety switch for the clutch lever. I don´t use it, because I have a very reduced cable harness.

Item number 7A22679:
"Leitung PE". This is the hydraulic hose. Provide the desired lenght when ordering. My hose has 1500 mm, but I have a flat handlebar! You have to measure.

Item number 120653:
"Nehmerzylinder Kawa Scorpa Bombardier Hymec". This is the Slave cylinder.

Artikel 722136:
"Hohlschraube mit Nippel Hymec". The Bleeder screw of the Slave cylinder. Use metric wrenches 6mm and 8mm of professional quality and consider the max. fastening torque!

Artikel 721820:
"Mineral Hydrauliköl 100 ml rot". The red hydraulic oil. They call it Magura blood.

I am interested in a little detail: what did it cost?
Yes, if I had to ask, maybe I can't afford it. But, I just gotta know! ;)

In 2013 the price in Germany was about 420 Dollar. In Google Germany I see stock Hymec street kits for roughly the same price.
On Youtube there is a Video, but only in German.
There is an old wise man at Magura. Conor McRory. A Scotsman, you can write an email in English and ask everything about Hymec:

controls@magura.de

I guess he remembers my bike and has my data stored.

OK. Let´s start with the Supertrapp.
I have Stainless steel manifolds for the GL1200 (Boonstra Parts, Holland) with a welded extension pipe to the canisters. No pressure balance pipe between left and right, because I needed the space for the welded swing arm supporting tubes, and the new Main stand support. No balance pipe means also a different sound with an accent on every single "Bang" of each of the 4 cylinders.
On the inner side of the Supertrapp end cap is an extra package of exhaust stuffing wool, holded by a metal grid. This shall help damping the high tones.
When I milled the end caps, I found it funny to number them from "Vol.1" to "Vol.2". Because on my way home in my car I had the double CD "The Velvet Underground 1969 Vol.1 & Vol.2".
The sound of the 4-cyl. Goldwing with Supertrapp is impressive. It´s characteristic like a 4-cyl. Porsche. Powerful, smooth, simply cool and never aggressive. This sound is one of the reasons I spend all my blood and money in this bike. I will never play the guitar like my older brother does, but I engineered this particular bike. Very gentle when idle or within town, and growing when you pull the throttle. And you don´t have that diarrhea noise like some Harley "Custom" exhausts.
I use 8 spacer rings per can. When full throttle this is more than enough noise.
The engine performance remains the same, I guess. I didn´t make dynamometer tests. It´s still the brave stock 83 horsepower engine.

Hello Mr. "5Speed", I just came home from my work and then watched the TV-news here in Germany and I just want to thank you for your Avatar image "Plan B". It saved my life. And the life of others, too.
You asked for the the milled Aluminium pieces left and right on my carburators. These are my dashboards. They are bolted directly onto the M6-screws of the front carbs.
I have two "Motoscope mini" LED meters integrated in my Risers. They show Speed, RPM, oil pressure, trip recorder and Odo.
Laterally on the left over the engine, the dashboard contains the control buttons for the two Motoscope minis, and the knob for my "Daytona"-Grip heating. (Yes, Grip heating. It´s a Goldwing. I go to work with the bike. I even have a topcase...)
On the right side, the dashboard bears the LED meters for Water Temp and Volt. I wanted a Voltmeter to observe my tiny BF-500 LiFePO4 Battery under the tank shelter.
The design idea was to remove devices and cables from the steering bar and only have the technically necessary minimum of devices and meters. The cables of the Motoscopes run within the Risers. The ignition is right under the tank cover. I saved Meters of wires in my harness.
If you look from the front of the bike, the two fins look like the fins of a submarine.
All the meters. The Ignition is right unter the tank shelter.
