It's also for sale now as I picked up my next project. A 2012 Harley dyna fatbob. The hd mufflers I was going to try we're way to long for what I wanted. But the glasspacks from Amazon give it just the right amount of volume, reduce backfiring and gave it more even power through the low end. I can feel it's a little less juice that the h pipes but it's minor. Worth it to cut 30 pounds. I also plan on wrapping the pipes and installing the engine guards as I'm pretty sure that's how the last owner cracked the valve cover.

Tore down the engine guards, sanded them, removed highway pegs. Sanded them down and used vht epoxy paint

Highway pegs and engine guards are done. Now I just need the new valve covers and I can put it back together.

New uncracked valve covers with a new paint job. Using vht epoxy this time for 250 degrees. For some reason the high heat paint wouldn't cure on the old covers even after baking. So now it will match the timing covers.

Well I replaced the valve covers and found a bit of milky oil. And it’s the water pump. So 200 bucks on amazon for a Oem replacement with seals and gaskets. Yeah.

Finally got around to removing the headers and wrapping them with fiberglass. Wow that itches. I wore gloves but next time it's long sleeves. Just waiting for the silicone spray to arrive before I reinstall them. I also put the new valve covers on and found some coolant in the oil. Checked the impeller on the water pump. It moves sise to side alot so that was ordered. Tommorow I'm installing the new tach cable as the old one snapped at the top with the new gauge.

I've also decided to add a surfboard rack and dual sport tires. I might as well have fun until I sell it. So I'm waiting on the rear luggage rack. Then I'll order the board rack. And just run with one saddle bag on the other side

All the wrap I've used the directions say to soak it in water first before install. That would keep from itching.Crash7 wrote:snip.............Finally got around to removing the headers and wrapping them with fiberglass. Wow that itches.
