Somebody put some time, effort and money into that one. Reminds me of a 1200 I looked at here a couple of years ago.

I can't find one of the articles but here's another that I've cited before: http://www.ultralightnews.ca/articles/r ... dplugs.htm

I'm citing information, but don't claim to vouch for its accuracy.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Like it. Fiddle about and refine it, tidy up the welding on intake boxes, trim off any of the excess linkage stuff, black the frame and maybe the motor out and keep those air scoops coz they're neat, they'd look good satin black, dash is trick. $1500 can't go wrong. That's my 2 penneth worth!

How much is it worth? At 25 cents an hour it is worth a lot for labor alone. Lots of clever engineering there but leaves a bit to be desired in the design department. Kind of crude mix of parts. Fenders are just wrong. I really like the fuel set up but agree aluminum would be much better and leave off the square part of the tank that is exposed. Just fill up more often. Hope it runs good.

I thought that at first. But, then I realized that this one was simply cobbled together before the "cafe" and "bobber" craze blew up on us. This guy was blazing a trail and you have to admire that. I would imagine this one could have been done 20 years ago or so.

Café's and Bobber's have been around a lot longer than 20 years. ;)

Touche. Very true. (Duh). Not thinking well today, But they were more like fringe elements then. I was sort of alluding to the insane interest in those styles now. Now, it's the "thing to do" if you're customizing something. Didn't really see that many in years past.
