GL 1500 Cluster question

I was wondering, can a 95 Honda Goldwing GL1500 run without the gauge cluster?

I'm asking this question as I wanted to do some fabrications and was thinking about, if I replaced all the gauges with Digital gauges would the Goldwing operate with non-OEM gauges

Or does it draw some sort of signal from the cluster?

1500 is kinda out there for this gang. Might try Sander Site for faster answer. We be 4 banger guys mostly but there is a bunch of real smart guys and one might be along too.

Yes, it will run without the gauge cluster.

I completely removed the wiring harness on my naked 1500 leaving only the ECM which I have wired using 7 of the leads. I also removed all the vacuum lines and inlet manifold heating pipe work along with the air bleed pipes into the exhausts, all of which I blocked off.

Despite that everyone told me " it will never run right'.... It does!!!! Runs fantastic!!!! Only modification necessary was to go up two sizes on the main jets

I am working on a sensor for the revcounter to be accurate on a 6 cylinder, currently it is way off as it is designed for 1, 2 or 4 cylinder bikes
