Havent been very active on the forum, but have gained some great information. I finally have a laptop so that makes it much easier to participate. Thought I would share some pictures of my 'Wing Ive had for almost a year and thousands of miles now. I didnt take many pictures doing some of the modifications so not much of a build thread but I would be happy to answer any questions. Currently working on a Weber conversion and trying to find a coil option that will be friendly to my Dyna S. I will update as it progresses
The day I brought her home
How it looked when I first got her on the road
Quick detach rack I setup for the long trips
Pretty much how she sits now, planning on paint this winter if I decide a color

I used to live in Coeur d Alene, over by Canfield Mtn. facing Shadduck Park. I recognized the scenery immediately. Nice bike.

Re: Hydes 1976 GL1000
Nice looking bike there. Interesting crash bars, they actually look like they're on upside down at first glance! Like the tiny fairing too. How d'you find the shinko's? I got 7000 out of mine then junked the front as it developed a distinct flat spot...
cheers

Re: Hydes 1976 GL1000
Hey guys thanks for the replies havent been on. Crash bars came with the bike, not sure what they are from exactly but Ill be painting them this winter. The bars are one off by a friend of mine, gives a bit of a distinct look. As far as the Shinkos, the rear lasted about 5000 miles, I am pretty fond of burnouts though. I never had any traction issues with them though and I ride fairly aggressively.
