CX500 parts on GL1100

Does anyone know if the clocks from a CX500 will work well on a GL1100?

I keep thinking that the headlamp unit and clock housing might look quite good on my GL1100

I used a CX500 Headlight assembly from a later 70"s CX 500 on the 1976 GL1000 and the bucket was identical with the bonus of upgrading the stock sealed beam lower wattage bulb on the 76 Wing to a replaceable Halogen higher wattage bulb used on the CX500 headlight.
The clocks I don't know, yet the sizing should be close and if the temp gauge is in the spedo or tach on the CX500 you may be able to use that feature just like the early GL1000 Wings use. The GL1100 has the 7V regulator in the gauge housing where the idiot lights are from what I recall, so you will probably have to relocate that to still feed 7V to the gauges(fuel and temp)
Current Bikes:

1966 CL77 - Honda 305cc - Dual purpose - "Gentleman's Scrambler" was a period moniker.
1967 CL175K0 - Low production number with #802 engine serial- winter 2019/2020 full restoration.
1972 CB350F - Baby Four with low mileage - Cosmetic refresh to the next level 2021/2022.
1978 CB550K - Very original bike with only 7499 Km. from new - light cleanup and refresh done.
1983 CB1100F - Canadian model - DOHC Supersport in pristine low kilometre condition from new.
1984 GL1200 - Standard model in showroom condition - two owner bike from new.
1984 CX650E - Restored summer 2017 - a rare Eurosport model - excellent one owner bike.

Anyone else know if CX500 clocks will work on a GL1100?

If you have a set it isn't hard to check. Lower mounts were the same on Honda bikes for many years. Tire/wheel size will of course affect accuracy. I am pretty sure the tach will work. Idiot lights are more involved but can be sorted out with the wiring chart.
Bikes at present:
