Dupicolor rattle cans, lace, and metal flake. I have since ruined this side cover by knocking the bike over.

I used 2k clear on top. The only problem is, now when it chips (and it does) it takes a big chunk out. I think 2k clear is good for painting regular gas tanks where vapors or over spill may cause it to eat away the paint around the filler neck, but totally not necessary for the GL false tanks.

The mudguards, side panels and dummy tank were professionally done, the pin stripes by hand!

The gold bits were done by me with a brush, and look better in the photo than close up, but I'm happy with the result.

Put on a new Motad exhaust since the pics were taken.

Thanks Liam, the guy who did the main parts was recommended by a mate and is based in a small village called Parson Drove, in the middle of nowhere in Cambridgeshire. He had a shed crammed with parts and showed me tanks he was in the middle of doing, some bikes from the 1930's! He actually apologised for not matching the colour to the original, but believe me you'd never know. And as I have said here before, and anyone else who asks, he did the pinstripes by hand!

groupus, are you say ALL that is Dupli-color? I'm about to pick up an '83 Aspencade that could use a recolor. Is there a particular type of Dupli-color to get?
