1985 GL1200

Well its been a long road and a time consuming one. This girl has been striped down to the bare bones and is offically back together. I still have some tweaking to do. And while she isnt offically naked.. without the help of this site she wouldn't be together at all.

That is originally an 85 Interstate. It now has a lot of 84 standard parts on her. She has afull 84 standard harness, the shelter, gauges, all the tank trim and radiator side covers. As well as the fan guards. All the hard ones to find, someone I managed to find and get my hands on. As far as the seat. Its a stock seat that i cut down and recovered. Someday soon it will have a matching backrest. The fender is actually a trailer fender. Slightly changed up a bit. She got some lower shocks on the back as well. I put brand new perelli tires on her and painted her tuxedo black. Its been a huge project for me. It was nice to get her "done". I am sure there is other items I missed.

I originally intended to do a similar transition with my 85 but never got around to it. Nice job.

Hey, how'd that happen so fast?
If there is one thing I have learned throughout this process it is this: Check your respirator for spiders before you put it on.
