Thanks RAT for this idea.

on the other hand, why not try to make a perfect set. tank, seat /tail / rear mudguard and front fender. I probably will not get rich but maybe it might get some extra money or at least make somebody happy.

Nice work. I noticed that with my 1200 Interstate after conversion to naked, the steering was very tricky at slow speed with the short bars. I suspect the rake angle of the dress bikes is greater than the Standard model. After a couple of potential buyers complained about the slow speed steering I switched back to stock bars.
Bikes at present:

83 XL 600r with a 2004 XR650L engine
And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair

Some tank extension fitting. it will be 3,5-4 cm extension. I hope i can do some progress tomorrow.

Allmost there. I gotta stop soon and finish it for this year. New bigger tank and new shaped tail is there. I think the tank and rest of bike is now more in balance. I think this light grey primer looks good. Now i dont know if i am gonna paint it this year or do i leave it like that.? I am pretty tired to do this ewery eavning and weekends too. I want ride. in any case there is still lot to do ewen i dont paint it.

that looks fantastic..
my only suggestion would be a pin strip on the side of the tank to break it up a bit where the side of it is so large.
maybe something like this..

Yes 5 speed. good idea. its still primer paint and it will be painted over some day some year. :)
