never mind about a bit of cold and damp, dump everything in plastic garbage bags before putting into the tail bag, the bike looks the part for sure!

Very nice customization! Looking forward to come to finland for a trip, maybe next summer. This summer here in Norway, Vestlandet, is so rainy that it's hard to find a good day for a ride

Really like the looks of your 1200. The tank really sets off the bike.

Kind of wondered if that was what it was....they are fairly rare here in the states, so many have not laid eyes on one before.

Yes i think these are really rare now days. Most of them been destroyet. When i was little boy i thought that was rollercoster and always wanted to ride it. :-D

Easter. I am also happy whit tank. I only wat it to be litlle bigger to cover that horizontal frame tube and coolant continer. I hope i gotta energy to make it litlebit bigger.

Maby i should start selling "transform your gl 1200 to caferacer" kit. :-D :-D :-D

We have these gas holders in the UK. Its a a floating affair and the pieces go inside each other and rise and fall with the amount of gas in them

Hello again. Snow has melted away and spring is coming ( i hope ) . I started to fix my bike about a week ago. Lot of things to do. I changed belts and when cover was loose i decided to polish them. I also polished valve covers. Boring job but nice to se finnished job.

Earlier i did have problem to fit new steering bar. Original bar is 1" in the middle and 22mm on grips.
I needid have a proper shims to fit 22mm bar to 1" holders. I found 2mm aluminium flat bar from the back of my shop and i also find old risers whit 1" hole. I used riser as a mold and hammered flatbar in to risers other half. So i did gotta 2 mm shim. New steering bar seems to fit nice.

If you were American we would say "Good old Yankee ingenuity" but since you are Finnish we will just say Clever. Nice work and nice polish.
