The lithium battery can sit however you like? Sideways, laying down, upside down, is that right?

Yes, any way you want. They are small and made of small batteries a little larger than a D cell. I have an eight cell on my 1200 and it spins it over easily. The manufacturers will want you to buy a 16 cell, almost double the cost.

I like the look! I did a bit of work on this build back in 2006. The owner calls it a tactical motorcycle.

Love the look but the seat makes me say OUCH! It's a prostate pounder for sure.

Which kind of lithium battery, Li Ion very narrow charge dischage requirements, LiPo less sensistive, LiFe not sure of.
Be aware when you change chemistries with batteries their charging/discharging characteristics vary. Li Ion does not like to be over charged hardly at all.

I do like the look of your bike sir, it is way cool!

I love the bike. I do not love the rust.
