No one would ever describe a goldwing as a small bike, but I’m always surprised just how compact it ended up looking. My brothers VFR800 looks absolutely enormous next to mine

Lovely job on the bike - great job on the seat and look. Going to turn a lot of heads. Cheers

Little preview of the new exhaust tips
Insured it today and of course it started raining as I walked out of the insurance office. I’ll have to do some shake down and fine tuning runs when I get some clearer weather1975 Cafe Wing

Made a plug for the tach drive on the fuel pump using the old tach cable and a rubber cap from the original triple. Cut the end off the cable and glued the cap on. Should do the trick

Nice! I’m copying that.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Took about three minutes to makeericheath wrote:Nice! I’m copying that.
Finally got to spend some time riding today! About an hour altogether of easy riding around the city making sure everything does what it’s supposed to. First impressions are: Dang, what a difference! I cannot believe how good the front brakes are compared to the stock ones. The front forks ride very good already, but I think after some adjustments to the settings it’ll be even better. I need to check the sag and fiddle with the preload, compression and damping.
The Acewell also needs some fine tuning. The tach seems to be working as it should, and the speed is good in spurts, but then it’ll suddenly jump 50kmh and then back down again. Minor bugs

If 5speed likes it, I like it.
Or . . .
I like it.
