That's where I have been getting a lot of my stuff too. Are those their speed bars? I have debated whether or not they would work on my wing, but hadn't seen anyone post using them on their wing.

These are the exact model: http://www.dimecitycycles.com/7-8-inch- ... ebars.htmlDbaker wrote:That's where I have been getting a lot of my stuff too. Are those their speed bars? I have debated whether or not they would work on my wing, but hadn't seen anyone post using them on their wing.
They'll clear the stock gauges whereas some of the others are too narrow.

Thanks much! It's nice to know what works with the gauge cluster as well as the top of the forks. And congrats on BOTM! I agree with an earlier post: I predict BOTY!Hanslehoff wrote:These are the exact model: http://www.dimecitycycles.com/7-8-inch- ... ebars.htmlDbaker wrote:That's where I have been getting a lot of my stuff too. I've helped him out with a lot of the work on that bike, it is a nice little ride for sure. If I found one for $800 I'd jump on it, I'd love to build one. But as it is my garage is a little full...warhead_71 wrote:There is a nice running CX Deluxe on CL here in Chicago... almost tempted to buy it. $800

Re: **Finished (for now)** My 75 Wing Cafe RestoMod
My stock horn stopped working a couple months back and I finally got around to replacing it. Because I can't leave well enough alone, I ordered a 100db 2.5" mini horn and decided to mount it inside the right shelter and shave off the stock mounting plate. Now it is completely hidden but is still loud enough to be heard, and the left and right sides look more symmetrical without the stock horn hanging down.

Re: **Finished (for now)** My 75 Wing Cafe RestoMod
Two weeks ago something terrible happened...a car decided to turn left in front of me and despite my best efforts to avoid it I ended up hitting the side of the car at about 20kmh and dropping the bike on it's left side. Luckily I wasn't seriously hurt, but my wing was. The front forks are bent, maybe the rim. Scrapes and rash on both valve covers and the right timing belt cover as well as the left peg. Broken signal and mount, scrapped mirror and it looks like the front wheel was pushed back into the radiator and might be leaking a bit now. But most disheartening, a gouge in the paint and clear coat on the rear cowl. I was far more upset to see damage to the bike then damage on my body. I am still dealing with insurance but in the meantime I'm making plans to get her fixed back up.
I am considering two options:
1) purchase another set of stock 1000 forks, tear them down for powder coat and then rebuild them with better springs and the race tech gold valve emulators. At the same time I'd upgrade the front master cylinder
2) Complete front end swap with a 96 CBR900RR. They are a 45mm conventional fork with full adjustment but still have a mechanical speedo drive. I'd put heavier springs in and change the rear wheel to a 16" Lester to more closely match the look and size of the mag front. This would give me far better performance in both suspension and braking without drastically changing the stance like a more modern USD unit, albeit at about double the cost of going the stock route.
I'm at a bit of an impasse, but one way or another the bike is getting repaired. I will be replacing all the signals with matched LED units in a similar style and may also take this opportunity to upgrade the radiator to an all aluminum unit. Having to fix the paint is a downer, but seeing as I never did get around to wet sanding this may be a good opportunity to finish it correctly.
Hard to see the damage to the paint in this photo but it's on this side
